I always had not much luck when it comes to shopping with a purpose - with a list of ‘must buy’ things. I will somehow see something else not in the list. Like most of my purpose shopping, I will allocate an amount of money, and wish that the money could be exchange with the things I need. That will seldom be the case. Do you know that feeling?
Like today, I went out shopping for my wedding needs with my sis, no luck with shoes and the dress for the marriage registration. Ended up buying fake eyelashes, a mini-skirt and a bag!
Now I have decided to give the new bag a purpose on my wedding day; used it to put my stuff, presents n red packets.
Hmmm… My shopping luck wasn’t that bad after all!
A little luck with shopping please

Are you pregnant?
Saturday, June 28, 2008It’s been a few days that I have spread the wedding news to my most of friends but only the closest knew bout the date we picked.
So, Doreen decided to call me “Eh, wanna ask you something.” Feels like a question she has kept inside when I told her the good news, and finally can’t stand it anymore.
“Hmm?” I said, knowing what she's going to ask.
“Are you pregnant?” saying in a very cheeky manner.
Hmm… Hope I wont have to explain myself too many times.

A good wedding checklist
Friday, June 27, 2008Actually I had been googling on weddings earlier on; most of it doesn’t suite my needs. I almost gave up and try to write my own list of things to do. Boy, it was hard, I come out with some of the list, but it was messy and unorganized, bits and pieces everywhere. All this made my heart pound faster…
“How am I going to manage all this in just 12 weeks?”
Then I tried googling again today and it turned out to be a golden search and a big relieve. Finally found a checklist that suite.

Counting by months? Counting by weeks?
Sometimes, when a situation is viewed at a different angles, our brains will somehow interpret it differently, thus have a different outcome. Just few days back, I was counting down the days to our wedding, “Last week of June… July… August… 2 weeks into September”, that makes 2 months and 3 weeks that’s cool, good enough to prepare. But…just this morning, I was counting them by the weeks… Holy cow! 12 weeks! I have to seriously sort out the things I need to do for each and every week to come.

My Teddy bear come to the rescue!
Thursday, June 26, 2008My hubby-to-be just offered to help me set up my blog, but he will only be free after the 29th. He is into a competition to design an icon for a local radio station. Anyhow, I will still have my blog in July.
Yippee!

The delayed effect
Wednesday, June 25, 2008Called mom to tell her in detail what we should do in the coming weeks. Hope I could settle the pre-wedding photo shoot quotation at with my uncle in the 1st weekend of July. He owns a bridal house at my hometown, Muar.
After a while, my mom called again, this time…
“Do you think there is another date further down the road, how bout Nov or Dec?”
“Won’t you think it’s a bit too rush on things?”
“Would we end up with a ‘simply do it’ type of wedding?”
“Are u ok with it?”
... some sort of a delayed effect from my parents.

Oh yeah! We are tying the knot!
Tuesday, June 24, 2008Oh dear, pinch my cheeks! Am I still dreaming?
That news can’t sink in yet! My heart racing just by the thought of it. But… *grin*… 'Yeah! We are getting married!'. And yes it’s time to let my parents know about the date picked. Mom thought it was next year’s moon cake festival, as I expected. When she knew it was this year, her response was ‘ok’ calmly.
Hmm… that’s not normal.
We told some close friends about it, but the response was
‘sure?’
‘so fast?’
‘Never heard you say about it before.’
‘A wedding in 2 months time?’
‘Well, Siew Kheng can do it, so can Cheshire.’
So, today should officially be the 1st day of THE PLANNING.
Cards
We sort of figure out what style and type of invitation cards and thank you cards we want. Basically the thank you card something like the photos for our guest but…just a little different from the traditions.
Keeping Fit
· Exercise in the morning
· Yoga session every evening
· Jogging every weekend
So far, I am the one who still couldn’t make it for the morning session. Way to go darling!
This is only the beginning of the list of things to do.
